You Know You’re Crazy When…

you wake up from a Friday night not spent drinking or in fact doing any kind of pharmaceutical which hasn’t been therapeutically prescribed for you and still can’t bloody remember what you did the night before!

I know I watched a movie. I know because the television is still stopped where I left it. I just don’t remember what the movie was.

I only rented 3. I have a 1 in 3 chance of guessing correctly. This is not a long shot but still, no, my brain is not cooperating. This was something I watched less than 12 hours ago. Whatever. I’m pretty sure I’ll remember what it was once I find the DVD covers and I can always watch it again I guess.

Welcome to my world, folks ;)

One thing about depression that frustrates me is that the memory goes. I used to be able to remember conversations almost verbatim; however, now my husband says things that I told him and I don’t remember…it used to be the other way around. LOL. BTW, I must be doing about as good as you. Although you post is only three paragraphs, I lost my place and reread the 2nd one twice…pretty funny to do that. Thanks for sharing. I don’t feel so crazy now.

LOL Classic. Sit down, have a cuppa, always glad for some company in my wanderings through this here mental wilderness ;)

It’s now late Friday night and I just realised that it was in fact Friday. I thought it was Thursday. I think there was a call I should have made today?

    I don’t know though.

No. This is bad. I feel like Alice who has just fallen down the rabbit hole. *wink*

Pull up a seat, the kettle’s still hot… we’re having us a Tea Party here at Mental ‘R’ Us, dear Alice ;)

*laughing* Great! What shall I bring? Do you need anything?

Or just my brain? I know I left it lying around here some place…

LOL Oh that, and perhaps a watch to add flavour to the jam ;)

Sorry, the batteries are all dead in mine. Hmmm… Maybe that’s the problem with my brain too.

Do you have a defrib? That would be great.

    “Okay, everyone! Clear…!”

LOL Homemade ECT anyone? Fry one brain, get one free ;)

  10. 10 patientanonymous July 12, 2008 at 13:34

OMG, that’s awful! I mean, good wordplay but oh, I am so…well, not anti-ECT but I have my *ahem* opinions about it!

Which are basically: explore every damn option on the planet before you try it and DO fry your brain!

However, it’s really your choice as an individual…

Okay, we now return you to regularly scheduled, cognitively impaired programming…

Yeah, it’s a scary thing. I can joke about it because I grew up with my Dad’s seriously poor taste jokes about having had it but really it’s only funny because it’s so freaking scary. I mean, sometimes it’s the only option and well, OK but still – eek!

Ahhh, the magic of Friday nights!

maybe you’re just really really tired. I do the oddest things when my brain is asleep before my body – and I forget lots of to-do-before-I-go-to-bed stuff.
